If you missed the Cave Ecology and Management workshop in Protem, Missouri this year, you missed the best place to be on a 100 degree day…in a 55 degree cave! Tony Elliott, MDC Resource Scientist, and Dr. Tom Aley of the Ozark Underground Laboratory provided insightful presentations on caves, karst topography and white-nose syndrome. We toured Tumbling Creek Cave which displayed amazing formations, unique species and interesting artifacts.
